Even if I am tempted to put together an event for the Chicago-area people. I am reading LJ, I'm sworn to keeping that up at least. Keeping up with doll news is apparently bad though, now I want a YoTenshi Hinata. D:

Update on my doll family . . . I sold Moxie (Orientdoll Dong) today, she is going out in the morning. She and Sprocket (Puki Piki) just didn't "play well" together, and between the two of them, the Fairyland body won out over OD, in spite of things I prefer about the stylistic aesthetic of OD. Poor Rook (Pixydoll Sevy) is up next, though I have not changed his sale thread off feeler yet. :( Another case of "love it but doesn't fit" brought on by my overwhelming predominance of Volks. >_<;

There is no update on the SD High Mode Competition. Drift is still in Japan, I have not heard anything, and the current Volks News doesn't mention it in the contents online. I really hope that they aren't going to wait for volume 31 (which would probably be Thanksgiving-ish). I decided some time last week, suddenly and for no specific reason, that I'm sure I have not won anything (beyond being a finalist) so it's more wanting Drift back. I really really miss that boy. :(

Well, I have confirmed with Volks - I will be in attendance in person at the Hometown Osaka Dolpa 5 for the second round of the SD High Mode Fashion Design Competition. I have some questions for people who have been to the JP Dolpas but I will put those in a separate post at some point. I'm very excited but it's also pretty intense.

Coming in the next week: YoSD clothing, SD13 girl set, two other SD13 boy sets, and "Naoya's snakeskin rockstar pants" (he has NOT forgiven me for selling his prototype). I am unsure of the ETA on the MSD girl version of the SD13 girl set (it will be slightly different); leave me a comment though if you're interested in it.

I'm selling my "extra" Sweet Dream A head on DoA. Sales totally stress me out, I don't want to scalp but I also don't want to screw myself by asking too little. This is why I've never pursued doing commissions. >_o

My thanks to everyone who replied to the previous post with advice, I *really* appreciate it and it was very helpful. I've just been going crazy lately and I apologize for that. The Bambicrony is packed up and awaiting her trip to her new home, which I think will be a good one. I'm still a bit bothered by the whole deal, but I decided to keep my Sweet Dream A head and I'm trying to get him a body at the moment so I'm working to focus that energy on him instead.

So, somewhat officially introducing Cassien, my Dolly Accident (I really wasn't going to keep him but I just felt instantly at ease with him and wanted him to stay). I should be updating the site later with his profile info. I'm not totally happy with the faceup I did on him but it works for now; haven't decided if I'll open his eyes in future either.
